Butterfat Night

The other night I made these
Salted caramels. 
And these
Shortbread, with toffee bits. (That’s a tiny plate, by the way–not a giant cookie)
They were both pretty successful.  I think the butter was a tad too soft for my shortbread.  The caramels turned out better than I thought they would actually.  I don’t have a lot of experience [...]
